THE SCHOOL (Reino Unido)

THE SWEETEST ACHE (Reino Unido)

MILANO FLASH (Suecia – Grecia)

THE CORDS (Escocia)

(ENGLISH)

Pop family, MÁLAGA POPFEST is back!

We’re back for another year to celebrate indiepop culture together with all of you. A whole experience outside the mainstream market, standing up for music not as a commodity, but as an artistic expression to be celebrated.

Get your bodies ready because this year’s line-up is packed with pop energy!

THE SCHOOL (UK)

One of our wishes come true. Travelling from Wales to Málaga, they’ll be bringing plenty of sunshine pop and sparkling sixties vibes through their irresistible melodies — perfect for dancing, smiling… and yes, even getting emotional without ever stopping moving.

THE SWEETEST ACHE (UK)

After years away, the cult band returns to the stage in an acoustic format, with their magic completely intact. Their emotional melodies and crystalline guitars prove once again that they are a wonderful band capable of connecting the past and present of independent pop.

PACO TE QUIERO (Spain)

Their pop sensitivity, wrapped in layers of noise and songs that blend dream pop, nineties indie and shoegaze, has turned their recent debut *Hay un pez naranja en el suelo del metro* into one of the finest records in the Spanish indie scene.

LA MONJA ENANA (Spain)

For personal reasons, the band couldn’t make it to the 2025 MáPF edition. So this year we’re finally scratching that pop itch, enjoying and dancing twice as hard to the electronic pop of this cult band, who have left an unforgettable mark on indiepop.

MILANO FLASH (Sweden – Greece)

Imagine mixing the warmth of Athens with the freshness of Stockholm inside an eighties disco, driven by luminous analogue synths, powerful rhythms and voices that go straight to the heart.

That’s the recipe brought to us by the Angergård brothers (Acid House Kings, Red Sleeping Beauty, Club 8, The Legends) alongside Eleni Tzavara: pure devotion to Italo disco and to melodies that linger long after midnight.

LAS MARGARITAS (Chile)

We’re proud to introduce the festival’s first transatlantic band, who will undoubtedly be one of the surprises of this edition. This Chilean band blends the tenderness of twee pop with the melancholy of indie pop through a dreamy, romantic sound that evokes the world of Sarah Records.

MONTE VENTURA (Spain)

Our bet on Málaga’s local pop talent comes this year in the form of a band whose mix of sounds stretches from the Donosti sound to The Velvet Underground, taking in The Magnetic Fields and even Bambino along the way.

THE CORDS (Scotland)

Echoes of The Shop Assistants, Talulah Gosh and Tiger Trap run through these Scottish girls’ sound, which feels fresh, urgent and contemporary thanks to their shimmering guitars, punchy drums and irresistible melodies, making them one of the most exciting acts on the international indiepop scene.

TIM HALL (Ireland)

Travelling from Belfast comes Tim Hall, founder of Daytrip Records and resident DJ at Wales Goes Pop! His long career behind the decks has taken him to events such as Indietracks, Oddbox Weekender, Leicesterval and How Does It Feel To Be Loved?, always on a mission: to fill the dancefloor with jangle, fuzz and indiepop.

GÜENDY DJ (Spain)

For more than 15 years, Güendy DJ has been championing independent pop from the booths of legendary venues such as Fotomatón and festivals of all kinds. His sets are a celebration of Spanish pop: tontipop, indie costumbrista, timeless anthems, rarities, new releases and those hits that always work on the dancefloor.

DJ SEÑORA (Spain)

DJ Señora is the alter ego of Cris Romero, musician, producer and tireless indiepop activist, bringing his name back to the dancefloor with a clear idea in mind: to have fun and make people dance with a musical selection ranging from crystalline guitars to gothic rock, with plenty of dancefloor-friendly Europop in between.

MADRID POPFEST DJs (Spain)

Our popfester cousins are back behind the decks at our festival after making us dance and have an absolute blast at last year’s edition. We’re thrilled to have them back with us, for years, they’ve been celebrating and championing indiepop from Madrid through one of the most beloved festivals on the national scene.
